Bioimaging & Flow Facility

The Bioimaging and Flow Cytometry Facility incorporates all of the Institute’s high-end microscopy, cell sorting and flow cytometry equipment. Microscopes include upright and inverted multiphoton, confocal and widefield with SHG, phase contrast, DIC, timelapse, multiposition and Class II live pathogen imaging capabilities available. Bigfoot Cell SorterThe Bigfoot is Scotland’s first spectral cell sorter. It has 57 channels, is fast and flexible as to sorting media. It can sort 1 cell into a 384 well plate in 11 seconds. It is also BCLII compliant.
